The hamlet just east of East Hampton, Indian Wells Beach, and the short Main Street that punches above its weight.
Amagansett is a hamlet of East Hampton that functions as its own small village. Indian Wells Beach, the Amagansett Farmers Market, and a walkable Main Street with restaurants that draw reservations from across the South Fork. The summer crowd is dense but the off-season version is among the quieter spots on the East End. For adults 21+, the licensed East End dispensaries are a short drive away. New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces. That covers Indian Wells and the other public beaches nearby.
