Between Southampton and Bridgehampton, the Water Mill windmill, and the quieter hamlet the rental market has discovered.

Water Mill sits between Southampton and Bridgehampton and has long been the South Fork's best-kept secret. The Parrish Art Museum, the historic windmill on the village green, and a stretch of Route 27 with some of the East End's better farm stands. The hamlet is mostly residential, which keeps the summer-peak crowd at a lower temperature than the adjacent villages. For adults 21+, the licensed dispensaries are a short drive east or west on 27.
